California DL gets his first offer
Thousand Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame defensive linemen Tim Volk has received his first formal scholarship offer and they have a pretty big lead at this point.
“I got my first offer from Arizona a couple of weeks ago,” he said. “Arizona is definitely in the lead at this point. My other favorites are Stanford, Oklahoma and Notre Dame.”

What are you looking for in a school?
“Definitely the No.1 thing would be if I can play at that school,” he said. “Arizona has told me I will probably not red shirt and that I would probably be playing my first year.”
Well, the list has formed and you know what you are looking for from a school, but what position are you going to end up playing?
“Actually, I don’t know,” he said. “The west coast schools are wanting me as a defensive end and the schools in the Midwest are looking to move me to defensive tackle.”And, no matter the position Volk is now in a situation that he can start to enjoy the process with his first offer on the table.
