California DB wants a chance

Huntington Beach (Calif.) Edison receiver/defensive back Dominque Vinson has had a good season so far. Entering Friday night's game, he had 57 receptions for 751 yards and nine scores. He's also racked up 42 tackles and five interceptions.
Now he's just hoping he can score off the field by landing a scholarship.
"Purdue, Tennessee, Washington and Arizona are the ones that have stayed in contact with me," Vinson, who is 5-foot-10 and 151 pounds, said. "I think Washington is maybe close to offering. I'm not really focused too much on recruiting because of the playoffs, but once that's over, I'll start to get more serious about it."
But without a doubt, Arizona, Washington, Purdue and Tennessee are teams he likes.
"If I got to choose which side of the ball I could be on, then I'd say defense probably," he said. "But at the same time I'd play offense, too. I'm just looking for an opportunity."
