California DB stays in state

West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade Prep two-star safety Aubrey Smith has made up his mind.
The 6-foot-2, 180-pounder is heading South to play his high school football. South to sunny San Diego.

"Aubrey has committed to San Diego State University," his father Kelly Smith said today.
"He committed to coach Chuck Long."
Smith visited San Diego State back on Sept. 22 and was also being heavily recruited by UNLV, Utah and Fresno State.
Smith is ranked by Rivals.com as a 5.4 on the Rivals Rating Scale. As a junior he had 300 yards receiving and seven interceptions on defense.
He was recruited by Aztec defensive coordinator Bob Eilliott.
