CaliFlorida MVP adds a visit

Lakeland (Fla.) quarterback Billy Lowe, a Florida Atlantic commit, is coming off an MVP performance at the CaliFlorida Bowl. Has his stellar showing caused more schools to show an interest.
"No, not yet," he said.

He was scheduled to visit Middle Tennessee State this weekend, but did not make that trip. Lowe, however, has scheduled an official visit to Northern Illinois for Jan. 13.
"Right now, if there is a school that is a better fit for me, I think I might change my mind," Lowe said. "It's really just what is best for me as a student-athlete. But, I really like the (Florida Atlantic) program and I think I could play there."
Lowe also reflected on the CaliFlorida Bowl experience.
"It was great," he said. "I was the MVP out there, so what more could you ask for? I had a great time. I made a lot of friendships with the guys, and I hope I can keep these (friendships) throughout my college career."
Lowe said he expects to nail down a final decision, as well as his official visit date to Florida Atlantic, closer to Signing Day (Feb. 1).
