Cali WR has two on top

Fontana (Calif.) Etiwanda wide out Marvin Jones is one of the elite receivers in the West region. The athlete is now up to 11 scholarship offers but two schools are clearly in the lead right now.
Jones, 6-3, 180 pounds is a big time player and one of the top five receivers in the West region this year. He has size, speed, hands and can run very well after the catch.

He was a 1st team all-state underclass selection a year ago after catching 63 balls for 1,300 yards and 12 touchdowns and was very impressive at the SoCal NIKE Camp as well.
On the recruiting front, Jones has hit double digits in scholarship offers. He has two schools leading and said he has a good idea what five schools he'll take his official visits to.
"I really like Cal and Oregon right now," Jones said. "Oregon just offered me a few weeks ago, that's the most recent one for me. Before the summer is over, I'm hoping to take unofficial visits to both schools but I'm not planning to make an early commitment anywhere right now.
"With Cal, I love their scheme and their offense as a whole. They really spread the field well and they throw the deep ball. I also really like Coach Tedford and Coach Ferrigno, the receiver coach there. We hit it off pretty good and he's always good to talk with.
"With Oregon, it's a lot of the same things. I like the offense, they run the spread and that's really an offense built for the receivers. I've never been there before, but I've heard great things about the facilities and how committed they are to building up the football program there.
"I want to take all five trips and then commit sometime in November or December. In addition to Cal and Oregon, I also would like to visit Arizona, Oregon State and USC. All but USC have offered. I was supposed to attend their Rising Star camp last week but couldn't make it. I still talk to them a lot and they said they're watching me so that's cool."
