Cali WR excited about big weekend game

Back in the Spring, just a few weeks before the NorCal NIKE Camp, we received a call from the coaches at San Lorenzo (Calif.) saying we had to get in their standout wide receiver, Michael Calvin. We didn't know a lot about Calvin at the time but he blew up at the camp and hasn't slowed down since.
At 6-2, 190 pounds, Calvin has excellent size and his 4.50 time in the 40 at the NIKE Camp at Stanford was the fastest of the day on the notoriously slow Cardinal grass. Calvin also jumped 39 inches in the vertical and looked very good in the position and one on one drills launching himself in to one of the top receiver prospects in the region.

Like several top players in the state, Calvin will be in Berkeley this weekend taking in what promises to be one of the most exciting college football games of the weekend.
"I can't wait," Calvin said. "It's going to be a great game between two very good teams. It's not an official visit or anything, I'm just going to watch the game. I mean, who wouldn't want to be there for this one. I definitely do plan to take a visit to Cal though but I don't have a date set yet."
Calvin does have one official visit lined up and said he's also looking at a handful of other schools, all in the West region.
"I'm visiting Oregon (Oct. 27), I think they play Portland State that weekend," Calvin said. "Oregon was one of the first schools to offer me and has been recruiting me very hard since the summer. Oregon and Cal are probably recruiting me the hardest right now and I liked those two along with USC, UCLA and Utah.
"SC and UCLA haven't offered yet but they're both showing me interest and letting me know that I'm still on their board. I plan to take all five of my trips and once I'm done, then I'll sit down and decide where the best place for me is. I'm looking for a place that likes to throw the ball and also a school where I'll be comfortable on and off the field."
