Cali WR coming off big junior year

One of the top wide receiver prospects in the West region next year will be Fontana (Calif.) Etiwanda standout Marvin Jones. Jones put up big numbers on both sides of the ball last season but would prefer to catch passes at the next level.
Jones, 6-3, 180 pounds has great size and athleticism and really blew up this past season. Offensively, Jones caught 63 balls for 1,310 yards and 13 touchdowns to go with 75 tackles and four picks on defense.

For his efforts, Jones earned 1st team all-league, all-county, all-CIF and all-state underclass honors. The big receiver also earned all-league honors playing hoops but football definitely looks like his meal ticket.
On the recruiting front, Jones is still waiting for his first offer to roll in but he is hearing from a host of schools all over the country.
"I've gotten letters from most of the Pac 10 plus schools like Notre Dame, LSU and Colorado," Jones said. "I grew up a Florida State fan but I like USC a lot right now, their probably my top school.
"My mom and one of my uncles went to SC so I've liked them for awhile. I also like Cal, Notre Dame, Oregon and UCLA, that would be my top five at this time. I'm not looking to make an early decision right now, I'm just going to talk things over with my dad and my coach but it's still early for me right now.
"This summer, I plan to camp with Notre Dame and USC and I'll also be going to the NIKE Camp in Los Angeles in April."
Academically, Jones is carrying a 2.5 GPA and scored a 1240 on the SAT.
