Cali WR close on setting visits

Culver City (Calif.) has one of the most dynamic passing offenses in the state and standout wide receiver Damien White is a big reason for that. The receiver is having big senior season and is close to setting up his first few official visits.
White, 6-0, 170 pounds is one of the state's top pass catchers. The athlete has 58 receptions for 1,092 yards and 12 touchdowns for the Centaurs who won their playoff opener this past weekend.

White is one of five players on the team with over 480 yards receiving and Centaur quarterback Darius Banks has thrown for a state leading 3,810 yards and will be one of the top recruits in the region next year.
"We're doing good right now," White said. "After losing in the 1st round of the playoffs the last few seasons, it was nice to get a win. Now we play West Torrance who is very good and hasn't lost this season so we know we're going to have to play our best game."
On the recruiting front, White has handful of scholarship offers and is hearing from several others who are offering visits.
"UNLV and Toledo are my most recent offers," White said. "Fresno State and Iowa State offered me earlier in the year. I'm also hearing a lot from Colorado, Boise State, Washington State and Utah State and all of those schools have said they want me to take a visit.
"I don't have any trip dates yet but I know I'm going to visit UNLV, Iowa State and Utah State. I'll probably take those in late December or early January. I really like Colorado and Boise State a lot and if they offer me, I will take visits to both of those schools as well."
