Cali speedster has two on top

One of the more intriguing players to watch this coming season is Playa Del Rey (Calif.) St. Bernard's athlete Adam Long. Long is one of the fastest players in the state and is being recruited at multiple positions right now.
Long, 6-0, 170 pounds is better known for his work on the track than what he did on the football field last year. He qualified for the state track meet in the 100mm and 200m last year and finished third in the 200 with a 21.20 clocking. He has a personal best of 10.5 in the 100m and could easily double sport in college.

On the gridiron, Long rushed for 540 yards and seven touchdowns and played full time as a corner back as well.
"I'll probably play a lot of safety this year so teams can just throw away from me all game," Long said. "Right now, most of the schools recruiting me like me for corner. It doesn't matter to me where I play, I like both positions and will play whatever gets me on the field."
Two schools are recruiting Long pretty heavily and they're also the top two on his list.
"I'm hearing a lot from Cal and Washington and have already visited both campuses. I went to a Cal camp following the state track meet last year. I didn't participate in the camp because I had just run but I was able to see the campus and visit with the coaches.
"I liked it there a lot and got a good feel for everything. Cal hasn't offered me but they're talking about it and will be watching me this season.
"I attended Washington's Junior Day and liked it there a lot. The environment was great and it's a really nice place there. I met a lot of the players and got along well with everyone including all the coaches.
"I could definitely see myself at Washington, it's just really nice. They're saying the same thing as Cal right now, no offer yet but they like me and will be watching me on the field this season."
