Cali speedster has four possible trips in mind

A strong contender for CA state player of the year honors has to be Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame athlete Rodney Glass. Glass is having a huge season running the ball and is one of the state's top defensive back prospects as well.
Glass is an explosive athlete and is arguably the second fastest football player in the state behind Woodland Hills (Calif.) Taft's Jamere Holland. Glass finished second to Holland in the 100m at last year's state track meet with a time of 10.56. He ran a 10.43 to qualify for the finals the week before and said there is a chance he could double sport in college.

"I still haven't decided if I want to do that or not," Glass said. "Football is definitely my first priority but I like track a lot too and all of the schools recruiting me have told me I could do both if I wanted to so we'll see what happens when I get there."
Glass, 5-11, 175 pounds said he prefers running back and had a monster game in the Knights playoff opener last week in a 49-24 win over Lynwood. The athlete returned the opening kickoff 97 yards for a touchdowns and rushed for 191 yards and four more scores. Glass has incredible speed but unlike a lot of track guys, he has wiggle to him, can cut and slash very well and does a nice job of making a defender miss. Once he gets in the open field, there is no chance of catching him from behind.
On the year, Glass has rushed for 1,793 yards and 29 touchdowns. He has two more touchdowns receiving and one more on the kickoff return. He also been a shut down corner for Notre Dame and a huge reason the Knights are 11-0 and gunning for their third straight Div III title.
On the recruiting front, Glass hasn't focused too much on what schools he likes or where he'll visit but he did say he's pretty sure about four schools right now.
"This isn't my final four or anything but if I had to take visits right now, they would be to Arizona State, UNLV, Colorado and Washington," Glass said. "There are a few other schools I'm still considering as well and I plan to take all five trips before I make my decision. I still hear a little bit from USC and UCLA too. I think both are waiting for my ACT score to come in and I'm not sure if they need more film or not but I think it's mostly just an academic thing right now."
