Cali sleeper has three visits lined up

Everyone knows about Ontario (Calif.) Colony athlete Omar Bolden but he's not the only Titan drawing heavy Div I interest. Maurice Shaw is a new name on the recruiting map but after a very good senior season, he's very deserving of being recruited at the high Div I level.
Shaw, 6-3, 180 pounds is one of the state's best two sport standouts as he's also a talented hurdler in track and plans to double sport in college.

"I run the 110 and 300 hurdles," Shaw said. "Track is what kept me away from all the camps and combines last summer. My personal best in the 110 was a 14.28 which I ran early in the season. I hurt my foot later in the season and didn't make it to state but I'm definitely excited about getting there this year."
First things first for Shaw as the Titans will playing in a CIF semifinal game this weekend. After starting the year at receiver, Shaw was moved to safety in week six and made an immediate impact.
In just five games at the position, the athlete made 18 tackles, picked off six passes and returned three of them for touchdowns. At receiver he has caught 43 balls for 881 yards and 13 touchdowns and returned a kickoff 95 yards for a score on his first return of the year.
"I'm being recruited as an athlete and I don't have a preference between safety and receiver," Shaw said. "Right now, UNLV is my only offer but I have a couple of other schools that are pretty close. I just talked with Nevada last night and it sounds like they want to offer me on my visit.
"I'm either going to visit there this Saturday (Dec. 2) or (Dec. 15). We have a game on Friday and I'm supposed to check back in with them today to finalize. UNLV is set for (Dec. 8) and I have Washington State (Jan. 12). Idaho and Utah are also showing interest but I'm leaning towards Nevada and UNLV right now.
"Those two are recruiting me the hardest and that's important to me. I know Washington State is a Pac 10 school and a lot of people put a lot of stock in how big a school is or how much tradition they have but for me, I want to go somewhere where I know I'm wanted and right now, UNLV and Nevada are really showing me they want me to be a part of their program."
