Cali safety enjoys trip to Oregon

After originally thinking he was going to visit Oregon the previous weekend, Long Beach Poly (Calif.) safety Vaughn Telemaque tripped to Eugene this past weekend and said the Ducks definitely moved up his list.
Telemaque, 6-2, 185 pounds had a busy weekend. On Friday, the Jackrabbits won their 72nd straight league game by dismantling Compton, who entered the game ranked No. 20 in the state. Then it was off to Eugene for Telemaque.

"I had a great trip," Telemaque said. "There really wasn't a single negative about the visit. I saw a great game and got to hang out with a lot of cool guys. They had a bunch of big time recruits in that weekend and that really made it a lot of fun.
"I like the way Oregon plays and their defense definitely has a swagger to them. They stay fired up the whole game and so does the crowd and it made for a really cool atmosphere there.
"Of course the facilities were incredible, everyone always talks about that. I loved the campus, weight room, locker room, all that, it was really cool. It was also cool being hosted by Kenny (Rowe) who I played with last year. He loves it at Oregon and had a lot of good things to say about the school.
"I'll be honest, going in to the visit, I had USC leading pretty big but Oregon is right there now. This trip really has me thinking about a lot of things. I just want to evaluate all my schools and don't want to name a leader right now but Oregon definitely made a big impression on me."
Telemaque said his next visit will be to Michigan (Nov. 16). He may also take visits to Rutgers and USC.
