Cali RB makes his decision

Monrovia (Calif.) running back James Davis took an official visit to Utah State this past weekend. Although he said he enjoyed the visit, the athlete returned home Sunday and promptly committed to another school.
"Utah State was cool, I had a good time," Davis said. "The players on the team were nice and I liked the coaching staff but I just didn't know if I would be comfortable there or how well I would fit in.

"I got home Sunday and then later that night, I decided to call up Wyoming and I committed to them. Coach Robinson has been recruiting me for awhile and I really like him a lot.
"I haven't seen Wyoming yet, I've never been there before but I take my official visit this weekend. They only have one other player from California on the roster so I'm really hoping I'll like it there.
"From a depth chart standpoint, I think it's a great situation for me. They have two junior running backs right now that will be seniors next year. So my first year, I will likely red-shirt so I can give myself a year to get bigger and stronger.
"Then the following year, I'll be ready to compete for playing time. This weekend, the main thing I'm looking for is to just see how I connect with the players on the team. That's important to me and if everything goes well, then I'm in for sure. This trip should just help me solidify everything with my commitment and I'm looking forward to that."
