Cali RB likes Colorado schools

Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) has already had four players make their college choices and could have as many as six players sign with a Div I college come February. One of those players will be running back Quasand Lewis who will take his first visit in mid-January.
Lewis, 5-6, 195 pounds is a player who we first saw at a NIKE combine in Los Angeles two years ago. The running back is originally from Detroit (Mich.) but moved in to the area prior to his sophomore season. He played his sophomore year at Los Osos and then transferred a year ago to Rancho Cucamonga.

Lewis had a combine best 87.52 SPARQ Rating at the Combine highlighted by his 4.44 time in the 40, 4.06 in the shuttle and 22 reps on the bench. The athlete headed to the Stanford NIKE Camp this past summer and again impressed although his speed was down from where it was the previous year after packing on almost 20 pounds of muscle.
This past season, Lewis rushed for 600 yards and seven touchdowns and added 98 tackles and two interceptions while playing linebacker. He's being recruited as a running back and kick returner for college.
"The schools I'm currently hearing from are Nevada, Colorado, Colorado State. UNLV, Idaho and Marshall," Lewis said. "Colorado State is my only offer and I'll be visiting there (Jan. 12). I would say Colorado State and Colorado are my two favorite schools at this time. The whole recruiting process has been pretty stressful for me and my parents so I would like to get it over with as soon as possible. I want to take my trip first though and then I'll be ready to make my decision."
