Cali RB has very nice upside

Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame running back Thaddeus Brown is a name we haven't talked much about this recruiting cycle. After seeing the talented athlete in action over the weekend, that should definitely change.
We were in attendance at the Knights game last Friday and Brown was very impressive. The running back rushed for 127 yards on 13 carries and caught four passes for 80 yards and one touchdown.

The touchdown reception was a 60 yarder where Brown caught a short dump of over the middle, broke a pair of tackles and then out raced everyone to the end zone. At 5-10, 180 pounds, Brown has excellent speed but impressed with his power and just how hard he ran.
The first and even the second guy never made the tackle on Brown. He punished would be defenders at the point of attack, showed a great burst and is able to hit top end speed after just a few steps.
Brown also was impressive playing cornerback on defense and could play on either side of the ball in college. Recruiting attention has been a little slow but should pick up once Brown's senior film begins to circulate.
"Right now, I'm not focusing that much on the recruiting," Brown said. "I'm not close to making any decisions and just want to see who else wants to recruit me.
"I have offers from Boise State, Utah State and Illinois State. I'll take my trips when our season is over, no dates right now. Once I do my visits and can compare the schools with each other, that's when I'll be ready to make a commitment somewhere."
