Cali QB still waiting on 1st offer

Despite several impressive performances this past summer and a big senior year, Fresno (Calif.) Edison quarterback Jerry Davis is still waiting for his first scholarship offer to roll in.
Davis, 6-2, 190 pounds had standout showings at the SoCal and NorCal NIKE Camp as well as the Elite 11 quarterback workout at Cal. He had an early offer from ASU that he picked up during his junior year but when the old Sun Devil staff was let go, Davis lost his offer.

As a senior, Davis threw for 2,154 yards and 29 touchdowns to earn county offensive player of the year and 1st team all-city honors. Despite his efforts, the signal caller is still waiting for his first offer.
"The only school I'm hearing from right now is Utah," Davis said. "I've been talking with their coaches and they said they want me to come up for a visit in January.
"Right now, I'm just to waiting to finalize the date with them. They're supposed to call me so hopefully we can get that done because I really like Utah a lot. They told me they're only taking one high school quarterback this year and feel I would be a good fit in that offense since we run a similar offense at Edison.
"Outside of Utah, no one else is really talking to me. I thought the interest might pick up for me after the season we had but I'm not stressing about it. I'm just thankful to be in the position I'm in and hopefully things work out for the best."
