Cali QB making strides each game

San Jose (Calif.) Valley Christian dual-threat quarterback Dontae Perez is having quite the senior season with his team sitting at 5-1. However, the talented signal caller is not going to stop working hard and trying to improve each game.
The 5-foot-11, 180-pound Perez has been pushing himself ever since junior year and it appears that even with scholarship offers in hand, Perez wants to keep reach new heights.

"I feel like I'm reading the coverage better and but I'm becoming a quarterback that can escape the pocket and make a play," Perez said about his senior year. "My season is going well and I'm making progress."
San Jose State and Boise State, who have offered Perez up until now, could be joined by a couple of new schools that are in hot pursuit of Perez.
"UNLV is another team I'm looking to see something come from," Perez said. "I know they're pushing hard."
As for favorites, those are the main two schools that Perez would like to see an offer from.
"I like Oregon a lot and Washington State," Perez said. "Oregon is really my top school though. I like how they're not just a run heavy or pass heavy team. They're balanced. I like their athletes and what they do there on offense."
