Cali QB excited about 1st offer

We've said it several times before but it bears repeating- the 2009 class of CA quarterbacks is as deep as any year we can remember. Another signal caller we're high on is Oceanside's (Calif.) Jordan Wynn, who landed his first scholarship on Tuesday.
Wynn, 6-2, 175 pounds led his team to a Div II state title a year ago and is a very talented signal caller. He threw for 2,589 yards and 21 touchdowns to earn all-league, all-county, all-city and second team all-state underclass honors.

On the recruiting front, Wynn has been hearing from a host of schools and landed his first offer earlier this week.
"I got an offer from Utah," Wynn said. "Tuesday morning I got to school and our OL coach was in the parking lot and told me I needed to come see him in his office. So I followed him and he handed me a letter from Utah and when I read it, it was said they were offering me a scholarship.
"I couldn't believe it, it feels really good to have that first offer and I definitely have a high interest in Utah. I'm planning to take a visit out there over Spring Break to see the campus and get to know the coaches a little better.
"Colorado also sounds very interested as well. I talked to one of their coaches and he was telling me that I should know something in regards to an offer, in about two weeks.
"Right now, I haven't decided if I want to make an early commitment or not. I think I'm just going to go through the recruiting process and see what other schools are interested. I'm going to go to some camps do but I haven't decided which ones yet. I know I'll be going to the NIKE camp as well as one of the Elite 11 workouts."
