Cali OL waiting for offer No. 1

There are several offensive lineman from the Golden State this year that are not well known nationally or even locally, but have some upside to them. One such player is Beverly Hills (Calif.) OL Caylin Hauptmann who had a very solid showing at the SoCal NIKE Camp a few weeks ago.
Hauptmann measured in at 6-3, 307 pounds and projects as a guard at the next level. He has great hip flexibility and suddenness for a big man and is very strong at the point of attack.

Hauptmann shows up well on film and is a physical kid and very aggressive. He plays a bit high at times but as he continues to work on his overall athleticism, and improves his explosiveness, he has a chance to be a very solid college player down the line.
On the recruiting front, Hauptmann is still waiting for his first offer but has five schools listed at the top of his list.
"My top five would be USC, LSU, Miami, UCLA and Texas," Hauptmann said. "I also like San Diego State and Washington. I went to San Diego State's Junior Day and I want to visit Washington as well.
"UCLA is my top school right now and if they offered me, it would be tough to turn down. My mom went there and I've liked them for awhile."
