Cali OL showing patience

One of the top offensive lineman in California this year is also one of the most under-recruited. Colton (Calif.) standout Daniel Bernard still has the same three offers he had back in the Spring and no one new is jumping in to the picture either.
Bernard, 6-4, 315 pounds is a guard prospect that we liked a lot in the spring and summer. He had a very good showing at the SoCal NIKE Camp and also looked good at USC's lineman camp later in the summer.

Bernard is one of the most physical players in the state. He's strong, has good feet, and plays with a mean streak. He's one of those lineman who plays through the whistle and looks to physically dominate his man, not just get in his way.
On the recruiting front, Bernard picked up offers from Nevada, Colorado State and Ole Miss back in the summer and that still remains the case.
"No one else has even called me," Bernard said. "Right now, I'm not that focused on recruiting to be honest. I'm just concentrating on our senior season and trying to win a CIF title. We're 2-0 in league right now and playing pretty well.
"I do talk to Nevada a lot and I'm close to setting up an official visit with them. I also want to sent one with Ole Miss but I keep missing their phone calls. Every time they call, I'm still at practice because we go pretty late. Once our season is over, then I'll focus more on recruiting but it's not a big thing for me right now."
