Cali OL is headed to the Northwest

The last time we spoke with Modesto (Calif.) Central Catholic offensive lineman Dominic Galas, he made no secret of his affection for the Oregon State program. In fact, the talented center said there was a good chance he would commit on his official visit and that's just what happened this past weekend.
Galas, 6-1, 270 pounds is one of the elite center prospects, not just locally but nationally as well. He's a player we can easily envision being a three year starter in the Pac 10 and feel the Beavers got an absolute steal in Galas.

"Yep, I did commit on the trip, that was my plan all along," Galas said. "I just really felt comfortable with the program and I've been thinking about committing there for over a month now. I just wanted to wait until I got up there on my visit so I could do it in person and I decided to tell Coach Riley right after they beat Washington.
"He was real excited and gave me a hug and then the other coaches came over and were excited for me as well. I had a great time on the visit but my mind was made up even before I got there. From the start of my recruitment, Oregon State has recruited me the hardest and I had the best relationship with their coaches.
"I visited Nevada and was planning on a few more trips but when they kind of fell through, I decided Oregon State was where I wanted to be. I loved it up there. Corvallis is a total college town, the fans are great, the players treated me like part of the family and again, I can't say enough about the coaching staff and how much love they gave me this whole process. They really made me feel wanted and I can't wait to get there."
