Cali OL is headed to Conference USA

Deryck Beveridge, a mammoth 6-8, 315 pound offensive lineman from Lakeside (Calif.) El Capitan has committed to UTEP.
Beveridge visited the Miners back in November and committed just a few weeks ago.

"UTEP offered him way back in the summer and Deryck always appreciated that," Beveridge's mother said. "He was also looking at UNLV and San Diego State but liked the coaches a lot at UTEP, Coach Price and his staff and felt very comfortable there.
"Deryck said he loved the atmosphere, felt very comfortable with the players, liked the campus a lot and like I said, I think he also felt a sense of loyalty to the coaches since they offered so far ahead of everyone else."
Beveridge has played both tackle and guard at the high school level but with his size and long arms, he likely projects best down the line as a tackle.
