Cali OL has SEC offer

An offensive lineman out West drawing a lot of early interest is Duarte's (Calif.) Mike Harris. Harris has an early offer from the SEC and is hearing from just about everyone in the Pac 10 as well.
Harris, 6-6, 300 pounds had a very solid year on both sides of the ball last season but projects as an offensive lineman, specifically a tackle, at the next level. He has a nice frame, long arms and can move pretty well. As he continues to mature physically and gets stronger and more physical, Harris has a chance to be a very solid college player.

As a junior, Harris earned all-league honors on offense and added 57 tackles, three sacks and recovered a fumble on defense. On the recruiting front, the lineman is hearing from a host of schools and has one school at the top of his list.
"Mississippi has offered me and that's my top school right now," Harris said. "I like UCLA a lot too and had a good time at their Junior Day. Those are my top two schools followed by USC and Oregon State and I'm hearing from all of them right now.
"In addition to those schools, Washington State and Washington are showing me the most interest. Right now, my plan is to go through the process a little bit and I'm going to be attending some summer camps. I'm planning to camp with Oregon State, USC and UCLA and will also the attend the Nike camp at USC later in the month. I'm looking for a school with the best combination of football and academics, both are equally important to me."
Academically, Harris is carrying a 3.85 GPA and will take the SAT June 6.
