Cali OL has Pac 10 leader

An offensive lineman to keep your eye on next year is Brentwood (Calif.) Liberty standout Kyle Quinn. Quinn recently picked up his first offer and after watching his film, we wouldn't be surprised if he picks up a few more before too long.
Quinn, 6-4, 275 pounds plays on both sides of the ball in high school but we like him on the offensive side of the ball in college. He plays tackle but has the frame to play just about anywhere on the line.

The lineman moves very well, finishes his blocks and has very good feet and hips. In the game we saw, Liberty played against eventual city champion and always loaded McClymonds, Oakland and Quinn more than held his own. He needs to get stronger but will compete and plays with toughness and a high motor.
"I think he's one of the best linemen in Northern CA," Liberty coach Dave Reinders said. "He's a very strong player and a sure fire high Div I prospect in my eyes."
On the recruiting front, Quinn is being recruited by several schools locally and has one Pac 10 offer on the table.
"The schools showing the most interest right now are Arizona, Cal, Oregon, UNLV, Air Force, Utah, Colorado, Oregon State and a few others," Quinn said. "Arizona has offered and that's my top school right now. I also like Cal, Oregon, Notre Dame and Boise State, those are my top five schools. Notre Dame was who I rooted for when I was little but I'm not really hearing from them right now.
"I'm looking for a school that has a strong combination of academics and athletics and a place where I'll be comfortable. Like I said, academics are important to me and that will play a role. Right now, I'm just getting ready for the NIKE Camp at Stanford coming up in a few weeks and training pretty hard. I'm not sure about the rest of my summer camp plans or where I'll visit right now."
Academically, Quinn is carrying a 3.5 GPA and will take the SAT later in the year. He said he would like to major in Meteorology in college.
