Cali OL has Midwest dream school

Duarte (Calif.) offensive lineman Mike Harris received his first offer back in April from Mississippi. Fast forward a few months and the offer from the Rebels remains the lone offer for Harris but several other schools are watching him closely including one school he said he would commit to on the spot if they offered.
Harris, 6-4, 305 pounds is one of the top guard prospects in the state. The lineman earned all-league honors on offense last year and added 57 tackles, three sacks and recovered a fumble on defense. He's being recruited strictly on the offensive side of the ball at this time and that's where he's most comfortable as well.

"Right now, Mississippi is still my only offer," Harris said. "I'm hearing a lot from Notre Dame, Washington State, Colorado, Oregon State, Stanford and Nebraska. Oregon State probably talks to me the most and sounds like they're close to offering me.
"Colorado has talked to me about taking a visit and my plan right now is to probably only take about one or two trips before making my decision. On the other hand, if the right offer came, I would probably jump on it."
Who might that right offer be from?
"Notre Dame," Harris added. 'That's kind of like a dream school for me and if they offered me, I would commit right then. I just love their tradition and their academics. Plus they have great exposure, they're on T.V. every week and it's just a great school. Colorado would be another great offer as well. If they offered me, it would be tough to turn them down.
"Right now, I'm just getting ready for double days which don't start for us until next week. I've been working hard and I'm in the best shape of my life. All of those schools I mentioned, they all said the same thing, they want to see my first couple of games next season and if I play well, they'll offer me. So that's what I plan on doing."
