Offensive center/defensive tackle Mark Gray (6-3, 278, 5.1) from Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola is seeing his stock going in an upward direction of late. In the last four weeks, Gray has received four offers and there are sure to be more on the way.

Gray has recently received offers from Arizona, Boise State, Nevada and San Diego State.
Gray has received phone calls from the above schools, plus UCLA, Washington State, Oregon, Oregon State, Colorado and Boston College.
“My top schools are USC, UCLA, Oregon State, Colorado and Boston College,” Gray said. “Actually I’m interested in all the schools that have offered, too.”
“I’m very, very open regarding colleges,” Gray said. “I’m going to see how everything plays out.”
Gray is a workout warrior who has improved his bench from 420 to 450 and his squat from 675 to 700.
Loyola is currently 1-1 after losing a tough battle to a very tough Los Angeles (Calif.) Venice team 17-13 in an upset last Friday September 19th.
Loyola beat Hawthorne in their opener 17-13.
Gray and his Loyola teammates play in the Serra League. It is one of the toughest leagues in Southern Section CIF Division I.
All six teams from the Serra League made the playoffs in 2002. Two of Serra teams made it two the semis and Mater Dei made it all the way to the championship.
Out of the six teams only one team didn’t advance to the quarterfinals.
“They call our playing in our league the Holy War,” Gray said.
Rivals.com agrees the Serra League is Holy War indeed.
Gray has been invited to participate in the Air 7 Cal/Florida All-Star game that will be held January 2, 2004.
