The recruitment of one of southern California’s top linebackers is heating up. Jonathan Turner (6-3, 240, 4.6) from Corona, Calif., has picked up an offer from USC.
Colorado State was the first to offer Turner, while in-state foe Colorado said that the Buffs has an offer pending grades.
Turner is very interested in the USC offer and he’s currently mulling it over.
Corona head coach, John Brandum said that there are plenty of more offers on the way for his talented linebacker and that there is a boatload of schools showing interest in Turner.
Turner is the complete package of size, strength and speed. This tremendous specimen benches over 300 pounds, squats 450 and cleans 325. He also has an excellent 35-inch vertical jump.
Turner, who will be a three-year starter his senior season, had 112 tackles as a sophomore and a 103 tackles as a junior. He is a two-time all-league selection and was also all-county and League defensive MVP his junior season.
Grades will be close but with work he should predict.
