Cali kicker heading to Houston

Placekicker Jordan Mannisto (6-0, 170, 4.7) from Westlake Village (Calif.) Westlake parlayed his outstanding senior into several D-I offers. Mannisto, the all-time leader of field goals for Ventura County, has decided on what school he will take his talents to.
"Jordan committed to Houston," Westlake coach Jim Benkert said. "The Cougars landed a clutch kicker who will help them win some games during the next four years.

On the season, Mannisto has hit on nine field goals out of 12 attempts including hitting from 50, 51, and 52-yard. He been almost perfect kicking PAT's, his only miss was barely blocked.
Mannisto earned first-team all-CIF, first-team all-county and first-team all-league for his senior and junior season performances.
Mannisto works on his kicking with one of the best kicking gurus in the West in former UCLA All-American placekicker Chris Sailer. He also works out with former Los Angeles Rams kicker, Mike Langsford.
The talented kicker chose Houston over offers from Iowa State, Wyoming, Nevada, and Rice. He was offered preferred walk-on status from USC and san Diego State.
