Cali K sets up first visit

One of the nation's elite kicking prospects is Covina (Calif.) South Hills standout Kyle Peterson. Peterson is hearing from a host of schools and recently set up his first official visit.
Peterson, 6-2, 160 pounds was an all-state underclass selection a year ago as a punter and does all three kicking duties- field goals, kickoffs and punts for the Huskies. The athlete was recently chosen for the Army All-American game and is having a strong senior season.

"He's having a great year in all three areas for us," Husky recruiting coordinator James Escarcega said. "Half of his kickoffs have been touchbacks and he's punted great for us. He has a long of 51 yards and several of his punts have been inside the 20."
On the recruiting front, Peterson has an offer from UTEP and will take an official visit on (Nov. 18) when the Miners take on UAB.
"USC, Washington State, Washington, Cal, Arizona State, Oregon, Baylor and Duke are all showing a lot of interest as well," Escarcega said. "I could see him with a few more offers pretty soon here."
