Cali K is WAC bound

The last time we talked with Anaheim (Calif.) Servite kicker Kevin Goessling, it sounded like he was close to a done deal for Boise State. After the Broncos decided to go in a different direction, another WAC school moved in and nabbed him.
Goessling, 5-11, 170 pounds is one of the top kicking prospects in the region. He finished the year 7-9 on field goals with a long of 41 yards and was 29-30 on PATs.

Boise State offered the talented lefty early in the year but pulled the offer and Goessling decided to head Fresno State.
"I committed late last week to Fresno State," Goessling said. "Boise State started to fill up on scholarships and decided not to bring in a kicker this year. I took an official visit to Fresno State two weeks ago (Dec. 8) and really liked the place a lot.
"I think in hind sight, this could be a blessing in disguise because I can't imagine a better fit for me than Fresno State. I like the area, the coaching staff and the football program. The timing is perfect for me as well in that I'll red-shirt my first year there and then take over the following year and have four years to kick for them.
"I was hearing from a few other schools like Cal, Oregon and Louisville but I'm done and won't be taking any other visits. I'm a solid commitment and excited to be going to Fresno State."
