Cali DE still looking for first offer

Woodland Hills (Calif.) Taft defensive end Brent Williams took his final official visit this past weekend. The 6-foot-3, 192-pounder had a good trip. Is he any closer to getting his first scholarship?
"It was fun," he said. "I came out to Virginia Tech to have fun, see the facilities and meet the coaches. Going to camp is always fun even though it was cut short because of weather.

"I'm not a great tester, but I play a lot faster and it was easy for me in one-on-ones. For the two times I went I won. I'm hoping their coaches got a great evaluation of me."
What did Virginia Tech's coaches say?
"They told me they knew I could move and I'm quick," he said. "The main thing was to see if I'm interested and would come out there. I competed and it shows my interest.
"They said they are looking at me as a hybrid type of player, defensive end/linebacker, but didn't think they could offer me for the 2010 class."
The Hokies camp is the last one for Williams.
"I'm still talking to UCLA and USC," he said. "Penn State has talked about offering. They want me to prep and if I gain enough weight then they'll offer. That's kind of my last resort, I'm hoping I can get an offer outright."
