Cali DB puts commitment plans on hold

The last time we spoke with Long Beach Poly (Calif.) defensive back Vaughn Telemaque, he told us he was planning to make an early commitment and hoped to do it by the end of August. Those plans have now been put on hold.
Telemaque, 6-2, 190 pounds safety and his Jackrabbit squad are gearing up for a huge game this weekend against Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville at the Herbstreit Classic in Canton, Ohio.

"I'm so pumped, I can't wait to play," Telemaque said. "With our season kicking off, that's really where all my focus is right now. I don't want anything to distract to me from this game so I'm putting recruiting on hold for now.
"This really is a big game for us. Glenville is a big time team and we have a lot of respect for them. I like our team a lot though so we're anxious to get out there and see what we can do."
Not only will Telemaque not make an early commitment, he said his new plan is to take his official visits.
"I just need to see more of these schools before I can pick one," Telemaque said. "I've never even been to Oregon so I know I want to visit there. I just got back from Rutgers and really liked it a lot. I mean, I liked it a lot more than I thought I would.
"MIchigan and North Carolina are recruiting me the hardest right now and as a result, those are probably my two favorites. Still the gap is small between all the schools and by no means are Oregon or Rutgers out of it just because they're not in my top two. That's what the trips are for and I should know a lot more after I take them all."
