Cali DB pulls in two more offers

Lawndale (Calif.) Leuzinger defensive back Dijon Washington is easily among the top safety prospects in the West region this year. The talented athlete picked up two more offers in the last week including one from the Big 12 that immediately moved to the top of his list.
Washington, 6-1, 180 pounds is a hard hitting safety with a nice upside. He's a physical kid who plays downhill and can really deliver a blow. He also has the kind of frame that will easily pack on weight without losing any of his speed or quickness.

On the recruiting front, Washington picked up early offers from Washington State, Washington and Oregon State and now has a five on the table.
"Nebraska offered him last week and San Diego State offered earlier today," Leuzinger coach Deon Toliver said. "Dijon was real excited about both offers and has a high interest in both schools right now.
"The offer from Nebraska was a big one for him and I think they're right at the top right now. Oregon State is right there as well, those are his top two but you know how kids are, they change their mind all the time.
"Right now, Dijon is planning to take all his trips and I know Oregon State will be the first one he sets up. Those coaches have been on him for a long time and have done a really good job recruiting him.
"The plan now for Dijon is to attend the USC camp this month but we're not sure if that's going to be June 14 or June 28. That's the only camp he'll be attending though. Then, he'll take his trips during the season and be ready to make his decision later in the year."
