Cali DB is Pac 10 bound

Despite being the son of former UCLA and NFL defensive back Marcus Turner, Long Beach (Calif.) Cabrillo defensive back Marcus TurnerII said it was another Pac 10 school that was his childhood favorite. Once that school offered, it didn't take Turner long to jump on it.
Turner, 6-0, 180 pounds was an all-league selection a year ago after totaling 33 tackles and one interception. He just returned from camping at Stanford this past weekend and impressed enough to pick up an offer from the Cardinal.

"After the camp, I got a text message to call coach Harbaugh," Turner said. "When I called him up, he told me they were offering a scholarship and I went ahead and committed right there.
"I've always liked Stanford, ever since I was in 7th grade, that's the school I wanted to go to. I went to a Spring practice in April and I've been keeping in touch with them ever since. I thought I did a good job at their camp and they told me they liked me.
"I'm really excited right now. Not everyone gets to attend their dream school so I'm happy about that."
In addition to the Cardinal, Turner said he had offers from UNLV and Harvard. He's carrying a 3.9 GPA and scored a 1540 on the SAT.
"I still need to fill out the application and get accepted in to the school there," Turner said. "I'm pretty confident though and I don't think they would have offered me this early if they didn't think I had a good chance to quality there as well."
