Is there basketball in Mr. Ross’s future? “I’m strictly football on the college level,” Ross said.
Pac10Recruiting thinks Ross is on to something regarding his future. The entire Pac10 came by the school, but the interest in Ross doesn’t end there.
Northwestern, Texas A&M, Utah and Fresno State also came by Saint Bernard’s this May to inquire on this skillful safety.
The scouting report on Ross is a very aggressive player who loves to hit. He registered close to 100 tackles as a junior and he picked off six passes, taking to back to the house for scores.
Ross also played some offense as a running back. He ended up rushing for 422 yards and scored seven touchdowns. Ross was awesome catching the ball out of the backfield latching on to 25 passes for 265 yards and three touchdowns. He’s also an excellent punt returner who racked up 200 yards returning punts.
The Oregon Ducks are high on his list as a school choice. One of his best friends is Duck signee, Marcus Binn from Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey. Ross will attend Oregon’s one-day camp June 9th.
Ross is also scheduled to take an unofficial visit to ASU.
USC has also let their presence known as Trojan head coach Pete Carroll and his offensive coordinator Norm Chow showed up on Saint Bernard’s campus.
Ross is working hard on his skills at Steve Clarkson’s Air 7 football camp and he is also working with a private trainer to be in the best possible shape for his senior season...
