Cali corner set to make surprise decision

The recruitment of Fresno (Calif.) Edison defensive back Robert Golden has taken another strange twist. The former Arizona commitment visited Oregon State this past weekend and says he has a new leader.
Golden, 5-11, 170 pounds is an elite cornerback who committed to Arizona back in the summer. He backed off during the summer and then after taking an official visit to Tucson, put the Cats back at the top of his list.

The corner also took visits to Oregon, Arizona State and Fresno State but UA seemed like close to a lock. Well after visiting Corvallis this past weekend, Golden showed why we never use that word 'lock' to describe anyone anymore.
"Oregon State is my top school now and there is a good chance I'll be going there," Golden said. "Arizona was No. 1 for me but throughout this process, Oregon State was always my No. 2 choice right behind them.
"Oregon State plays my style of defense and I think they have the potential to be a great team for years to come. I just really liked it there a lot and felt very comfortable with everyone, players and coaches. I'm going to take the next few days to figure things and could have a decision any day now."
