Calhoun changes up recruiting plan

Corsicana (Texas) Navarro Community College cornerback Dustin Calhoun is not quite sure what's going to happen with his recruitment.
Receiving an early offer and taking an early visit to Iowa State, the 6-foot, 180-pound Calhoun thought that was where he was going to end up. However, with a coaching change taking place at the Big 12 school, Calhoun is back to square one.

"I have no idea what's going on with [Iowa State]," Calhoun said. "I know that their coach has resigned, so I don't know where they're at with recruiting me. They haven't talked to me for a while now."
Calhoun has picked up a Division II offer, but has his sights set on another Division I program.
"On Dec. 2, I'm going to take a trip to Hawaii," Calhoun said. "As a kid, you dream about going to Hawaii. You don't ever go, but you dream. Now I have a chance to go and I'm living out one of my dreams.
"If they offer, that looks like where I'll be headed. Plus they have nice uniforms."
Calhoun says that he had five interceptions on the year. His team went 5-4.
