Andre Caldwell has followed his
heart and jumped on the Florida Gators' amazing recruiting bandwagon.
“I had to follow my heart and I’m going to the
University of Florida,” said Caldwell, donning an orange Gator visor for the ESPN cameras that aired his announcement live.
Caldwell, the nation's fourth-ranked player on the
Rivals100 team and the top
wideout, picked the Florida over Miami and Florida State. His brother, Reche, also played wideout for the Gators and is currently playing for the San Diego Chargers.
As a senior at Jefferson High School, Caldwell played
quarterback, rushing and passing for more than 1,100 yards and accounting for 31
touchdowns.
