Calais picks up in-state offer
Patterson (La.) safety Tarence Calais currently holds an offer from an in-state Conference USA school.
"I talked to our head football coach the other day and he told me that I had an offer from Tulane," Calais said. "I was very excited. Talking to the other recruits in this year's class, they are all getting offers, so I was very excited about getting one."

Being an in-state prospect, Calais is familiar with the Green Wave.
"I know a little bit about them," he said. "I started following them a little bit in the late 1990s when they were very successful. My cousin went there then."
Ole Miss, LSU and Louisiana Tech also have been recruiting Calais.
"LSU is the place to be right now," Calais said. "It's a great atmosphere and is just a great place to be right now.
"I think they are going to wait to offer."
Calais has family ties to the Tigers program. His mother is the sister of former LSU linebacker Mike Calais and former LSU and New Orleans Saints running back Dalton Hilliard is his uncle.
Calais had 162 total tackles in 2005.
