Cal QB Sanchez impressed with OSU ND

Mission Viejo, Calif., standout Mark Sanchez was in the Midwest over the weekend and returned to the West Coast very impressed.
"We visited Ohio State and Notre Dame," Sanchez said. "Ohio State was first. We were there on Thursday and Friday. Then we went to Notre Dame and looked at them Saturday and Sunday."

"Ohio State was amazing. You couln't ask for more. The town is great. The area is nice. The facilities are wonderful. We toured the campus. It's beautiful. The stadium was unreal."
"The same with Notre Dame, but with less students and it's smaller. The stadium is amazing too."
"Both places were great. I had a great time at both."
"I'd say I'm looking at Ohio State and Notre Dame. And Texas, USC, Nebraska, and Florida. That would probably be about it. All of them except Notre Dame have offered."
"I'd like to wait and take official visits, but I don't know if I'll be able to wait that long. The game works different now. Schools can take someone else and not have something for you."
The 6-foot-4 and 210 pound Sanchez is one of the top quarterback prospects west of the Mississippi. Sanchez completed 75% of his passes for 2400 yards during his junior season. He connected for 29 touchdowns with seven interceptions.
