Cal OL talks about Big Ten offer

Anaheim (Calif.) Esperanza offensive lineman Joe Hawley moved into the starting lineup at tackle at the beginning of his junior season and established himself as a major college recruit by the end of it.
"Wisconsin has offered me a scholarship," Hawley said. "That's my first offer. I got a letter from them about a week or two ago.

"Definitely Wisconsin is one of my choices. And also UCLA, USC, and Washington State. I haven't cut it down a lot. I don't have any favorites."
Though Hawley says he doesn't have any favorites, the Badgers might have a built in advantage.
"My dad went to Wisconsin," Hawley said. "He says it's a good school. I plan to make an official visit there during the season, but I don't know exactly when."
Hawley was an all-conference selection his junior season as well as conference offensive lineman of the year. The 6-foot-3, 270 pound Hawley will likely move inside to guard at the next level.
