Cal lands stellar JUCO DE

The Cal Bears continue their impressive ways on the recruiting front with the committal of defensive end Ryan Riddle (6-4, 235, 4.65) from Torrance (Calif.) El Camino.
Riddle is considered one of the best edge players in Southern California on the JUCO level. What makes him even more valuable is he is a predictor and will be able to enter Cal in January.

This is good news for Bear fans since his early arrival will allow Riddle to participate in spring practice giving him an outstanding chance at playing time next fall.
Riddle is a riddle for opposing offensive coordinators who had a hard time trying to figure him out this season.
Though Riddle had to fight through double teams he still racked up 11 sacks off the edge. Riddle is a very explosive player and has to be accounted for on every snap.
If anyone thinks that Cal under Tedford leadership is the same old Bears would be fooling themselves.
The Bears are slowly awaking from a long hibernation and Pac10 foes better be warned this awaking Bear is very hungry.
The proof of that is the very aggressive and impressive way the Cal staff has conducted their recruiting efforts this season.
The Bears have done a real nice job with talent evaluations and they are recruiting one the Pac10’s best classes to date.
