Cal DL Sets First Official Visit

Defensive lineman Chris Solomona from Torrance (Calif.) El Camino Community College committed to Washington after his senior season at San Pedro (Calif.) High School.
Now in his second and final year at El Camino, Solomona has made three sacks from his defensive end spot in his first three games this year. And he has also opened the recruiting process back up.

"I told Washington they're still number one," Solomona said on Thursday night. "I guess you could say I committed, but I'm keeping my options open."
"When Ohio State was out here for their game against UCLA, one of their coaches stopped by and wanted to know if I wanted to visit when they play Northwestern. We have a game that weekend, but we have a bye October 13th, so I'm going to make an official visit to Ohio State that week."
"I'm also going to visit Arizona, Colorado, and Kansas State, but we haven't worked out the dates."
Solomona is 6-foot-5 and 285 pounds. He has a 40-yard dash time of 4.9 seconds. Solomona graduated from San Pedro in 2000.
