Cal commit to take trips

Cal commitment Chris Henry (6-1, 225, 4.4) from Stockton (Calif.) Edison is thinking about taking visits. The Bear commit is having a great season and as expected his stock is taking an upward turn. Henry brings a lot to the table and his versatility enhances his recruitment.
Henry has been moving around this season and has played at one time or another, running back, wide receiver, linebacker and strong safety.

One of the most impressive things about Henry is how unselfish he is. He is a great teammate who is only concerned about getting wins.
Henry has rushed for 235 yards as a senior. “I’ve been mainly being used fullback,” Henry said. “I’ve been blocking for Lynell (Hamilton) and he’s having a huge year. I will do anything to help the team.”
Henry gets yards running, catching and has even recovered a fumble that he brought back 50 yards for a score. Henry also has a 41 yard reception that he brought to the house for a score. He also picked off a pass when he was playing strong safety.
When you enter the season as a sleeper and then you go out and perform the way Henry has, you will still get recruited.
Henry is getting serious looks from other schools, much to the chagrin of Cal fans.
Fresno State, Oregon State, Arizona and Vanderbilt are all still recruiting the talented athlete prospect from Stockton.
Fresno State has offered and the Bulldogs could get a visit out Henry. Cal’s Pac10 rivals Oregon State and Arizona are also vying to get a visit out of Henry. Vandy also has a good shot at a visit. “I really like Vanderbilt as a school,” Henry said.
The only school that will get a visit for sure is Cal.
“Cal is a great institution academically,” Henry said. “Cal has a good criminal justice program and that’s what I want to major in.”
Kudos has to go out to Cal for taking a chance on Henry early in the process before anyone else was in the game.
Let’s see if the high-flying Cal Bears holds serve.
