Cage adds southern school offers

Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton Woods defensive tackle Daniel Cage has broken through into double digit-offer territory. Two of his most recent offers came from Florida and Georgia Tech.
Georgia Tech has also offered Cage's teammate, safety Mike Edwards, and their coach is lining up a visit to the campus during spring break. Cage will look to get several questions answered while visiting the school.
"It's another level [academically], so my question to them is, 'what can they offer me educationally and with tutoring,'" Cage said. "I want to major in physical therapy, so another question is, 'do they have that because they are a big Engineering school, I believe.'"
The offer from Georgia Tech found Cage last week. Florida's offer came a few days before during a conversation with assistant coach Brad Lawing.
"I had never received a letter from them, but the coach had told me to call him and offered me over the phone," Cage said. "They saw my tape and liked my explosion and physical [play].
"I know of them, but I don't know much about the school. I am thinking about going out there this summer and getting a better feel."
Cage is also looking to attend Ohio State's spring game, and has made recent visits to Illinois, Indiana and Cincinnati. He attended one of the Bearcats' practices this past weekend.
"I thought it was real good and I got a good feel for how they run things down there," Cage said of Cincinnati. "I saw a practice and got a great feel of the atmosphere and what goes on at UC, so I was very impressed."
The 6-foot-3, 275-pound Cage was a honorable mention all-combine performer at the U.S. Army Junior Combine in January.
