C.J. Brown makes his choice

Interest was heating up for Wilmington (N.C.) New Hanover offensive tackle C.J. Brown recently. That was all put to rest today when the 6-foot-5, 290-pounder made a decision on his official visit.
"I committed to Coach Holtz this morning on my official visit," he said. "We were just talking in the living room about how he wanted me to come play there and I told him I thought ECU was the place I wanted to be.

"It was just the fact my parents and I really liked the place, it's close to home and I felt like it's the right fit for me."
Brown committed to East Carolina over recent interest from Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt.
He went on to discuss his visit a bit.
"It was a very good visit," he said. "I got to hang out with the players, talk to the staff, see the campus. I was really impressed with the coaching staff and players. It really seems like the coaches care about their players. It's like a big family there. I liked the school spirit and activities on campus too.
"Coach Holtz is a very enthusiastic coach. He's very personable and I got to meet his wife and kids. He's cool and down to earth. He thinks I have a bright future there and can be a good player for them."
