C.J. Barber has five leaders

Safety / athlete C.J. Barber is one of the most highly sought after prospects in the Palmetto state. He only has one official visit set up, but things are looking even between five schools.
The 6-foot-2, 215-pound recruit from Rock Hill, S.C. runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds and is being recruited by most schools as a defensive back. He has an official visit scheduled to South Carolina for Jan. 16. Who else is he interested in?

"The only official visit I have set up is to South Carolina next month," said Barber. "But I also like Florida, Clemson, Georgia and Tennessee. It's pretty even between those right now. I don't really see anyone above the others from that group. That doesn't mean I won't listen to a couple of other schools outside of those five, but they're my favorites."
Rock Hill lost in the first round of the playoffs, but Barber did not play in the final three games of the season. He hasn't had any coaches come by for in-home visits yet, but that will likely come down the road. What will be the biggest factors in his decision?
"I want to play in a good conference where I can be prepared to play to my potential. Playing time is going to be a factor, and all the schools recruiting me have told me they could get me on the field early."
