BYU picks up Georgia S

BYU went to the southeast and landed a safety prospect from the Peach State. Kori Gaines, a 5-9 and 174 pound defensive back, is from Loganville Grayson High School.
"I committed to BYU," Gaines said. "I actually did it Saturday afternoon. I just love everything about them. I visited late in June after they offered me. The campus is amazing. I mean I have been out there skiing and snowboarding but never to the campus. The place is just beautiful. And the coaching staff is class act. I am very excited. This is a blessing and God made it happen."

Gaines is a free safety. That's the position he hopes to play for BYU.
"I have good range, speed and agility. I can also bring the wood. My knowledge of the game is good too."
Gaines committed to BYU over Vanderbilt, Furman, Wake Forest and Auburn.
Grayson opens up their season in the Georgia Dome against Kingsland Camden County High School.
