"I've just been at camp and decided to let Bronco Mendenhall (BYU head coach) know that this is where I want to play college football," Lark told the Deseret News. "It's a place I feel I belong for every reason. Coach (Brandon) Doman (QB coach) is an amazing person and a coach I can relate to and understands me."
Lark was a 1st team all-state selection last year after throwing for 3,497 and a state record 41 touchdowns. Utah, Arizona and Oregon had also offered Lark and Cal and Michigan were also showing heavy interest.
Lark is LDS but hasn't determined when he'll go on his Mormon mission. The Cougars plan to sign one more a quarterback, non LDS, and are looking at Chandler Clemson, Cody Hawkins and Tyler Lyon.
