BYU lands first commitment
BYU picked up their first commitment of the year after landing Sandy (Utah) Alta offensive lineman Braden Hansen on Tuesday.
"I have been thinking about what I should do and make my decision early," Hansen told the Deseret News.

"I wanted to get it out of the way so I could concentrate on working out and preparing for my senior year at Alta. I wanted to put all the recruiting behind me."
As a junior, Hansen, 6-5, 250 pounds, earned first team all-region and honorable mention all-state honors.
He plays on both sides of the ball but was recruited to play on the offensive line by the Cougars. Utah, Boise State, Stanford and UCLA were also showing interest.
